    Family Reunion 2010 Planning

All:  I've done a little brainstorming with Danielle, NaKeya, and Chante. We've come up with a few suggestions for Family Reunion 2010 and would like input and suggestions from each of you. Also, please add how you would like to help keep this tradition alive - - what you would like to do as a value add.  I realize that for our remote cousins, this will be difficult. However, the planning of the events can be handled by the cousins who are local - - there will be plenty to do once we bring this to fruition. PLEASE HELP! It's important to maintain the ongoing gift of the spirit of Family!

Some of the activities that we could incorporate into our Family Reunion weekend are:
    • Day One: Family Day @ Six Flags Great Adventures in New Jersey or Day One: Family Day @ Playland in Rye NY
      • both venues provide catered picnic accommodations with unlimited food buffets + amusement packages with group rates
    • Day Two AM into Early PM: Sightseeing "Cruise to Nowhere" on the Hudson River either to Manhattan from upstate New York or the reverse
      • Day Two PM: Family Party Time - - possibly at the Boys' Club in New Rochelle or the Elks in New Rochelle on the Boulevard
    • Day Three: Worship Service at a Church with familial connection and family banquet (location TBD)
Hotel Accommodations provided at one of the area hotels, i.e., Hampton Inn in Elmsford on Tarrytown Road would be a suitable location; Raddisson in New Rochelle; Marriott Courtyard, White Plains.

These are just suggestions -- we really need input from each and every one of you -- thanks for helping out!
